I've nearly solidified my reputation as the stereotypical late twenties overeducated wanderer. I now work at a bike shop. I started on Monday. After filling out the necessary paperwork I enjoyed the next three hours riding bicycles. That's right, I got paid for riding bikes, albeit the most expensive bikes I've ever been on. I think the priciest one was a $2,400 road bike and it was really light and fast. I also rode some hybrids and some mountain bikes. Tomorrow I will get to try out a recumbent, I hope. I wish it was more of a full-time gig, but it will be nice to have the extra income for now.
Also, I am reading Dave Eggers' "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius". I started it right on the heels of finishing The Hobbit so it took me a couple of sittings to make that switchover but it has been well worth it. I am sure I will find some quotes to share soon.
the journey continues...

I've always thought if I tire of the coffee shop...I'll find a bike shop! that's sweet.
