Last Tuesday Jared, John and I traveled to Cleveland for the chance to see Midlake perform at the Grog Shop. We were all impressed by Dawn Landes who opened for them. This video (singing a familiar tune) is from one of her openings on tour with Midlake. Is that Myers behind the drums? No it's Ray Rizzo from the band Less, but that beard could have fooled me.
Midlake then came out and completely blew everyone away. It was well worth not getting back to Newark until almost 3 AM.

As soon as I stepped out of the car on Thursday I thought, I wonder if Michelle is still here, because I think we might have been close to where you live. It was already pretty late so I knew I couldn't call Kim to get your number because it was past Berry bed-time. I wish I would have realized where we were going to be sooner. I would have enjoyed seeing you.
