Raymond found me on Thursday just as I was about to fire one of my teachers. All he had was a plastic bag filled with his possessions and a check from the sheriff for thirty-seven cents. Raymond case was dismissed on Wednesday when another man confessed to the crime for which Raymond had been imprisoned. I drove him to the bus station and on the way we talked about life and God. All Raymond could say is, "God has been good to me". He talked about God's sacrificial love and how if we call ourselves Christians and don't express this love to our neighbors we might want to read the gospel again. Hearing this from a man who has spent a more than a year of his life confined by force, made an impact, to say the least.

Whitehall was the right choice Dave. The fringe benefits, like this conversation, make it worth it. Did you fire her yet?
